Beehive Removal and Control [Video]

Transcript

More than 95% of wild bees in the Phoenix metro area are African bees. Africanized bees are very aggressive at defending their hive, more so than other bees. That’s what makes them extremely dangerous. They are by far the most dangerous insects that we work with. If someone happens to see a couple of bees pollinating flowers or plants in their yard, that’s actually beneficial. However, if they establish a hive on your property, that’s when it can become dangerous. If you suspect a possible hive, do not disturb it. Do not try to treat a beehive without proper equipment such as a bee suit. That beehive will have to be removed.

When we come out to take care of bees, we often find them in a variety of areas such as getting into the hollow parts of block walls, or getting into exterior walls up near eaves, through small holes, or they’re sometimes up in trees. After we take care of bees, it’s very important that we remove the behive so it does not attract future bees and other pests. And so that it doesn’t cause any damage to the home.

If you have any questions about bees, or if you’d like pricing on bee control or beehive removal, please give us a call at (480) 635-8492. We’d be happy to help.
