Arizona Commercial Termite Control Services

Understanding the Termite Problem in Your Business

In Arizona, subterranean termites are the primary termite threat to commercial properties. These termites live underground and enter buildings through small cracks in foundations, putting structures at serious risk. Their constant search for cellulose materials (like wood) can lead to costly structural damage if left unchecked. Drywood termites, while less common, also pose risks by directly infesting wooden structures. Early intervention and thorough treatment are essential to prevent extensive damage.

Our Approach

Guided by science. Perfected by experience.

1
Inspect

We conduct a detailed inspection to identify the ant species, locate entry points, trails, and nesting areas, and assess the severity of the infestation. Understanding the specific species is crucial, as each has unique behaviors and nesting habits that guide our approach.

2
Plan

Based on the inspection findings, we create a tailored plan that uses the biology and behavior of the identified species. This includes strategies informed by their foraging patterns, colony structure, and preferences to ensure effective and precise control.

3
Execute

Our team applies targeted treatments such as baits, non-repellent liquid applications, and habitat modifications. These methods are designed to eliminate ants at their source, disrupt the colony, and minimize disruption to your business operations.

4
Monitor

We provide ongoing monitoring to ensure the infestation is fully resolved and to prevent future issues. Regular follow-ups allow us to adapt treatments as needed, maintaining consistent, long-term protection for your business.

Types of Ants

Tetramorium caespitum

Pavement Ant

Common in urban areas, especially around sidewalks, driveways, and building foundations.

Low – They do not pose significant health risks but can be a nuisance when they invade indoors.

Small (2.5–4 mm), dark brown to black in color, with parallel lines on the head and thorax.

Prefers sandy or gravelly soil, often nesting in cracks of pavement or between slabs. Indoors, they forage for food crumbs and grease.

Omnivorous, feeding on sweets, proteins, and grease. Known to engage in territorial battles with other ant colonies.

Pavement ants create small mounds of displaced soil near nest entrances, often mistaken for dirt piles.
Solenopsis xyloni

Southern Fire Ant

Common in yards, parks, and gardens; often encountered near outdoor eating areas.

Moderate – Their sting can cause burning pain and mild allergic reactions.

Reddish-brown with a darker abdomen, ranging from 2.5–5 mm in size.

Nests in soil, often near sidewalks, lawns, or under rocks. They prefer sunny, open areas.

Aggressive when disturbed, with workers foraging widely for food. They attack in numbers when defending their nest.

Southern fire ants are less aggressive than red imported fire ants but can still pose a threat to small animals and humans.
Dorymyrmex insanus

Pyramid Ant

Common in desert environments and urban areas, particularly near dry, sandy soil.

Low – They are harmless to humans and rarely enter homes.

Small (2–3 mm), with a distinctive pyramid-shaped bump on the thorax. Usually light to dark brown in color.

Nests in soil, often under rocks or debris. Colonies are typically small and inconspicuous.

Predominantly scavengers, feeding on dead insects and honeydew from aphids. Rarely seen indoors.

Their unique pyramid-shaped thorax makes them easy to identify among other ant species.
